Man United aren’t set to be without Amad for too long, with his injury not believed to be a serious one.
Manchester United have won three from three in pre-season so far, looking pretty solid in all those games. Erik ten Hag continues to implement his way of playing, with the dressing room seemingly adapting to that style nicely.
Pre-season is more about minutes in the tank rather than looking at the actual results, though it’s also a time for young players to prove their worth to the gaffer.
One man who was looking to do that is Amad. The young wide man was on for the second half against Arsenal, though swiftly picked up an injury. He was then spotted leaving the ground on crutches, leaving us all fearing the worst.
However, Fabrizio Romano has provided some good news on that front – and it comes direct from Amad himself. The player’s injury has been deemed ‘not serious’, hopefully, he’ll be back soon.
Check out Fabrizio Romano’s tweet on the Amad injury news here:
Amad is one of those who is on the fringes of breaking into the first team. Though I fear he needed to have a flawless pre-season to do just that.
My feeling is that the man from the Ivory Coast will spend this season out on loan, while if this injury causes him to even miss one pre-season game, I’d imagine that’ll 100% be the case.
The good news is that this problem shouldn’t stop him from heading out on another season-long deal elsewhere. Preferably, a move to a Premier League could will be on the table. Though I wouldn’t be against Amad returning to Sunderland, to complete his unfinished business on Wearside.
Get well soon, Amad!
