Manchester City and Chelsea are both interested in signing Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian reporter claims that the Frenchman has a £35m release clause in his contract but both teams may not step up their plans to sign him until they know more about how long the player will be out for with a torn hamstring:
Chelsea and Manchester City have both Michael Olise in their list. Understand there’s release clause into his contract — around £35m. 🚨🔵 #CFC #MCFC
Both clubs are waiting for clarity about his conditions as he picked up injury last month.

A replacement for Riyad Mahrez
With Mahrez set to complete his £30m move to Al Ahli soon, it is not surprising that City are looking to replace the Algerian international.
Olise is definitely an outstanding candidate. He is only 21 years of age and he had a breakout season for Palace, providing 11 assists in 37 league appearances.
City will have to see off plenty of rivals for Olise’s services
In addition to Chelsea, Arsenal have also been mentioned as potential suitors for the winger in recent days, with the Gunners keen to provide competition for Bukayo Saka.
However, you would have to think that a move to the Premier League champions would be the most attractive option for Olise.
