Rasmus Hojlund has completed his Man United medical, with the signing of his official documents set to be finalised today.
Manchester United have identified Rasmus Hojlund as their new number nine. The Dane will not come cheaply, though he does look like an immense talent, albeit it a little rough around the edges.
Fabrizio Romano has been on the story from day one. He provided an update yesterday, claiming that Hojlund had flown into Manchester to start his medical.
This morning, the Italian journalist has given us some more information on Hojlund – and it’s further good news for the Old Trafford club. The player has now ‘completed all medical tests’ before his United transfer becomes official. He’s also conducted his first part of media duties as a Red Devil.
To further add to that, the signing of his ‘official documents’ will be completed on Wednesday (today). After that comes a club statement.
Credit where it’s due. The club have identified their top target in the striker position and got it done, assuming they’ll be no issues when it comes to signing the documents at some point today.
Hojlund is someone who comes in with plenty of pedigree, though United fans will have to be patient with the young man. He’s still learning his trade as a player and there will be off days.
Under Erik ten Hag, the 20-year-old forward will improve on a daily basis, eventually, turning into a well-rounded striker. We’d imagine that will not happen for at least a couple of years.
In terms of targets, if Hojlund can score fifteen goals across all competitions, while fine-tuning his all-round game, that would be classed as a good debut season for the young man.
