Man United are still looking to sign Sofyan Amrabat, though they’ve asked for information on Ryan Gravenberch, too.
Manchester United attention, at least among the fans, is being diverted to a potential return of a certain #11. We’re not going to talk about that until the official decision has been made.
Erik ten Hag is still looking to make further changes to the playing squad, though that’s looking easier said than done, as moving away from struggling fringe players is not happening right now.
A name that has constantly been linked with a potential Old Trafford switch is Sofyan Amrabat. However, things have gone fairly quiet on that front recently, due to an inability to generate the required funds.
Journalist Alfredo Pedulla has provided the latest on that front, claiming United ‘always thinks of’ the 26-year-old midfielder. However, they have now asked for an ‘information survey’ on another player; Ryan Gravenberch.
Either United have gotten wind that Amrabat is heading elsewhere (possibly Liverpool). Or they view Gravenberch as a cheaper option given the current funds that are available. Neither situation should be happening at United. It really is as simple as that.
Honestly, it’s just a mess right now. You look at the midfield against Wolves and you have to be worried. The huge space available to the likes of Matheus Cunha was absolutely shocking. They even looked way fitter than we did.
That area of the park needs further work. Be it tactically, or new faces being brought in. Amrabat’s mobility and style of play seems absolutely perfect for this side. It’s just a shame that right now, the club simply cannot sanction a move due to the fact that they cannot afford to bring him in.
Once again, this is all their own making. United’s poor business decisions are now having a long-term effect. Just look at the Harry Maguire situation. That’s playing out all over the field in a variety of positions, with many different players.
