Our predicted Man United XI for the Premier League away game vs Spurs is now in.
Manchester United Football Club got it away with it against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Erik ten Hag’s men were pretty average, at best.
The Red Devils simply have no choice but to improve on that display. In terms of availability, I do not expect to see Rasmus Hojlund involved, while the likes of Kobbie Mainoo and Anthony Martial will still be missing for a little while yet.
With that in mind, I’d assume the gaffer will have exactly the same group of players available to him here. However, I’d also imagine they’ll be one or two tactical tweaks made.
Spurs play a more attacking brand of football which should help our midfield for space. That was non-existent against Wolves so surely we can expect to see at least some improvement here? Anyway, let’s get right into it.
Check out our predicted MUFC XI for the Premier League away game vs Spurs in full here:
Andre Onana was probably United’s best player in the game against Wolves. It’s a no-brainer to continue with him here.
Luke Shaw will start in the left-back position, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka keeping his place in the side. Both were good enough last time out. Lisandro Martinez was nursing a minor issue but I don’t believe it’ll keep him out of action here. Raphael Varane plays alongside the Argentine.
Casemiro was left alone far too often on Monday Night Football. Ten Hag will not allow the Brazilian to be that exposed again. Mason Mount and Bruno Fernandes both have work to do in order to build their on-field connection. Both will play.
Jadon Sancho will begin as a false nine. It worked in pre-season, allowing fluidity for the whole front three. Why not give it a whirl here? It allows Marcus Rashford to move back to the left-wing, with Antony completing the team.
