Amad has taken to social media to offer fans an injury update.
Manchester United Football Club have suffered with injuries galore to start this season. Many first-teamers have been ruled out, some for large periods, with Erik ten Hag’s squad looking super thin in some areas.
One position that could potentially be up for grabs is right-wing. Antony is dealing with some legal issues, while Jadon Sancho isn’t exactly flavour of the month following a recent outburst.
A player who could have been looking to take advantage of that is Amad. The Ivory Coast winger looked superb for Sunderland in the Championship last season.
He’d start pre-season with United, though he’d succumb to an early injury. The winger would pick up a knee problem against Arsenal in just their second friendly of the summer. We haven’t seen, or heard from him since; until now…
The young winger would take to social media to send an injury update to the fans. He’d caption a picture of himself working hard in the gym alongside the words ‘step by step’.

At this stage, we’re still unsure as to when we can expect to see Amad back out on the field, though he does seem to be moving in the right direction.
Knee injuries aren’t to be messed with. The club have to ensure he’s fully healed from that problem before putting him back out on the pitch. No doubt he’s gutted to be missing time, particularly when he could genuinely be fighting Facundo Pellistri for serious minutes right now.
Don’t forget United spent big money to bring Amad in, so he will absolutely be given that chance to shine as soon as he’s available for selection.
