There has been another Sofyan Amrabat injury update, provided by the Morocco manager.
Manchester United Football Club just cannot catch a break on the injury front right now. The Old Trafford side are being struck down by treatment table woes all over the field.
The latest player to go down with a problem was Sofyan Amrabat. Morocco’s manager did offer us some information on that front not too long ago, with someone called up to replace the midfielder.
Now, their coach, Walid Regragui, has offered a further injury update on Amrabat, claiming he ‘felt something’ and the central player has returned to United as a ‘precaution’.
It feels like a nice touch from the Morocco camp, who do not want to disrupt Amrabat’s fitness at this important stage in his career.
“Sofyan Amrabat felt something, and we let him go as a precaution because he has just started his new adventure with Manchester United.” Walid Regragui said, per @iamAkramPRO.
Thankfully, it’s a precaution rather than a serious injury. Amrabat is going to be needed for United over the course of this campaign, due to his mobility, energy and winning mentality.
With one week until a massive game against Brighton, it does feel like it’s trending towards the Moroccan being fit for that encounter. I’m genuinely excited to see him out there on the field as I do believe he’ll add an awful lot of quality to our midfield.
Although it may take him some time to fully hit his stride, the fact that he’s now back in Manchester, working with Ten Hag and his new domestic teammates, means he’ll be better prepared than expected for the Brighton showdown next Saturday.
