Our confirmed MUFC XI for the Champions League away game vs Bayern Munich is now in.
Well, here we are. Champions League nights are back on the menu for Manchester United this season and the opening game genuinely could not get any bigger.
The Red Devils head to Bavaria to take on Harry Kane and Bayern Munich, in an opening match that could well shape the group.
Erik ten Hag is still dealing with major injury issues and despite the return to training of both Mason Mount and Raphael Varane, the pair remain absent here.
The squad was named yesterday, with just five senior defenders fit for this one, including Jonny Evans. There was also deliberation surrounding Facundo Pellistri and whether he’d finally be given a start. Well, without further ado, let’s get right into it.

Andre Onana was obviously always going to start in between the sticks here, with the man from Cameroon set to be heavily tested.
Diogo Dalot is the only fit right-back at present so his inclusion was a given. It’s a similar story on the left, with Sergio Reguilon playing from the off. Lisandro Martinez partners Victor Lindelof at the heart of defence.
Casemiro starts in that deeper midfield role, with Christian Eriksen retaining his place alongside the Brazilian. Bruno Fernandes starts and captain’s the side here.
Rasmus Hojlund looked promising on full debut last time out so it’s only fair he gets another start here. To his right is Pellistri, who has patiently waited for this moment. Over on the left, Marcus Rashford completes the team.
Come on lads!
