Man United are ready to cut their losses on Jadon Sancho and sell the Englishman in a cut-price deal.
Wherever Manchester United have been so far this season, drama has closely followed. That doesn’t look like letting up anytime soon.
Antony is away on leave, while Jadon Sancho’s very public spat with the United manager leaves the Red Devils thin on the ground in the right-wing area.
The Englishman was criticised publicly by Ten Hag for his training performances. That led to Sancho being excluded from the Arsenal match day squad. We haven’t seen him since.
Apparently, a face-to-face meeting was had between the pair, though no resolution or compromise seemed to come to fruition. Ten Hag and Sancho remain at loggerheads.
Now, the Daily Star have provided an update on that front. They believe that United are now ‘willing to sell’ the player ‘on the cheap’ in order to get him out of the club.
That opportunity could arise as early as January, with Sancho refusing to back down, coupled with Ten Hag looking to continue his authoritarianism approach at the Theatre of Dreams.
The problem for United is that they’re not going to receive anything close to the £70m+ they paid to sign Sancho. Buying clubs will know of his situation, fully looking to take advantage of the fact that they could sign a supreme talent for an immensely cheap price.
At the end of the day, Sancho is now becoming a problem for United. The sooner he’s out of here, the better it’ll be for all involved. Sadly, he’s just the latest case in a long line that just hasn’t worked out here at Old Trafford.
I wish him well going forward, though it may take some sort of attitude adjustment for Sancho to enjoy success in future.
