Sergio Reguilon is still not ready to make his Man United return from injury, with the Spaniard still missing for the Brentford game.
Manchester United are desperate for a league victory, in order to stop the negative momentum that’s currently flowing in and around Old Trafford.
Erik ten Hag will not have it easy. Brentford really made life difficult for United in the two league fixtures last season so we should expect another absolute dogfight here.
The gaffer met the media on Friday to deliver the team news, confirming that one star has been ruled out of the game through injury. Ten Hag confirmed that Sergio Reguilon is still not ready to play after missing the last few matches.
We haven’t seen Reguilon since he put himself through the pain barrier during the Burnley game when he was dealing with illness. He picked up a problem in that game, albeit only thought to be minor.

“Not for tomorrow,” the gaffer responded when asked directly about Sergio Reguilon’s availability, per ManUtd.com.
It means we’ve had no natural left-backs for the last few matches, which has certainly made things tougher for the gaffer. Sofyan Amrabat has done a decent enough job out there, though it’s pretty obvious that it is not his natural position. The sooner the man from Morocco can return to midfield, the better it’ll be for all involved.
The good news is that after this weekend, Reguilon has a couple of weeks to get fit due to the international break. I’d like to think that the Spurs loanee will be back and ready to start after that period, assuming he suffers no further setbacks.
For no, Ten Hag has no choice but to place his trust in Amrabat. This exact situation is why I would have preferred to see Alvaro Fernandez stay at the club rather than head out on loan, though you can’t reverse that decision now…
