Our predicted MUFC XI for the Champions League home game vs Copenhagen is now in.
Manchester United are still looking for a first Champions League victory of the season. We’re at that point where anything less than a win here would not suffice after back-to-back losses.
Copenhagen visit Old Trafford on Tuesday, with Rasmus Hojlund’s brothers still playing for the Danish club. Make no mistake about it, they’ll be looking to upset the applecart, causing further damage onto the Red Devils.
This is a massive week for the 20-time Premier League champions and as a result, Erik ten Hag could have rotation in mind. In the end, I reckon the gaffer will opt for a mix of his regular starting line-up, while also sprinkling in some fresher faces in amongst it.
Anyway, with that in mind, let’s give you the full rundown on the full side we reckon Ten Hag will go with.
Check out our predicted MUFC XI vs Copenhagen in full here:
Andre Onana will start in between the sticks after a much-improved performance over the weekend. The man from Cameroon looked far more confident and in control against Sheffield United.
Diogo Dalot scored the eventual winner in that aforementioned game. He remains the only fit right-back at the club. Sergio Reguilon should be back fit to start in the left-back position, meaning Ten Hag can go back to the Victor Lindelof, Raphael Varane partnership at the heart of defence.
Casemiro will come back into the side. This time sitting next to Mason Mount who deserves some minutes after looking good since his injury return. Bruno Fernandes always starts when fit. He will also don the captain’s armband.
Facundo Pellistri will come back into the XI after some time off following Antony’s return, with the man from Uruguay wanting to offer a reminder of his capabilities and skill. Over on the left, Marcus Rashford needs to find some form and this may be a good opportunity. Rasmus Hojlund will lead the line against his old club.
