A pair of Man United players have been named in the latest WhoScored Team of the Week after some great individual performances.
Manchester United Football Club finally picked up their first Champions League win of the season on Tuesday night, albeit it wasn’t the most convincing display. The Red Devils eventually ran out 1-0 winners, though once again it was a worrying performance – particularly in the first half.
Erik ten Hag will be feeling relieved about the victory which does keep our Champions League dream alive, though he’ll understand that there is much work ahead. With a Manchester derby taking place this Sunday, the levels will have to increase, and quickly.
Before then, though, we have some time for reflection. For their individual performances, a United duo have been named in the latest WhoScored Champions League Team of the Week.
Both Andre Onana and Harry Maguire make the squad for obvious reasons, with the pair both having huge moments at a time when they were starting to be questioned by supporters. Fair play to both.

Onana put in a confident performance at home to Copenhagen, which his game summed up by that super late penalty save. He got a strong hand to it and it was a really elite stop, particularly under that immense pressure.
As for Maguire, it was his goal that gave United a deserved lead after some heavy pressure. A sublime header sent United on their way to all three points and if I’m honest, it’s something I’d love to see more of from the Englishman who is more than capable in the air.
Let’s just hope that this is the start of some excellent form for them both. It will no doubt do their confidence the world of good going into the hectic winter period.
