Our predicted MUFC XI vs Man City ahead of a huge Manchester derby is now in.
Manchester United’s form this season has been less than convincing. The Old Trafford club have not been playing good football whatsoever, though injuries have played a part on that front.
Erik ten Hag will no doubt be worried about his side’s lack of learning in regard to his system. Sadly, that’s something he’ll have to think long and hard about moving forward. Will he make changes for such a big game, though? I’d be surprised.
Manchester City haven’t looked as commanding this term, though they’re still winning matches without really breaking a sweat. Make no mistake about it, they’ll be favourites, despite the fact this game is being played at the Theatre of Dreams.
The line-up may be somewhat predicable here, though there are one or two decisions for the gaffer to make. Anyway, let’s give you the full rundown.
Check out our predicted MUFC XI vs Man City in full here:
Andre Onana starts in between the sticks after his biggest moment as a Red Devil. Let’s hope that penalty save allows him to kick on from here.
Diogo Dalot isn’t usually preferred in these types of games but with Aaron Wan-Bissaka out injured, the man from Portugal will start. Sergio Reguilon starts over on the left-hand side of the defence. Victor Lindelof and Raphael Varane is our best choice back two right now.
Casemiro has had the midweek off so he should be feeling fresh for this one. He’ll have Mason Mount alongside him at the heart of the midfield, with the Englishman bringing the energy. Bruno Fernandes will start and captain the team. We need a big performance from him.
Rasmus Hojlund has looked good to start his United career, though he does need some better service. To his right is Antony, who could also do with a confidence lift of some description. Marcus Rashford starts on the left-hand side of the attack.
