Man United have eyes on Brondby midfielder, Nicolai Vallys.
I’m not sure where you start with the current state of this Manchester United squad. I think we can all agree it’s in an absolute mess at this point in time, though.
Erik ten Hag is doing his utmost to construct a dressing room that fits his style of play, though clearly, that was never going to happen overnight. As things stand, the Old Trafford club are stuck in between a rock and a hard place.
With January just around the corner, it does make sense to see United being linked with some fresh names again, though I’m not sure where they’re going to find the funds to bring these players in…
Today’s claim comes from Ekstrabladet. They believe the Red Devils are looking at potentially moving to sign Nicolai Vallys.
The midfielder, 27, was watched by United scouts while playing for Brondby. The Dane has scored six goals already this season, with United lacking in that department so you can sort of see why a move would make sense.
The Red Devils would not be alone in the pursuit, with fellow English sides Aston Villa and Southampton also keen. Vallys is also attracting attention from all across Europe, including German side Wolfsburg.
In terms of other interested parties, I’d feel good about United’s ability to get the deal done, though this one would be somewhat of a risk. Vallys is 27 and he’s never played in a truly elite league. Are we to expect him to come in and be the game-changing signing that we all need? I have to admit, it feels unlikely.
