Luke Shaw is seemingly on the mend from the injury he suffered back in September.
Manchester United’s squad is in a mess after some pretty rough injuries. Erik ten Hag has been working without many key players for prolonged periods. Obviously, that has been less than ideal for the Reds boss.
Casemiro is the latest to succumb to a major problem, though there has been some better news in regard to Luke Shaw.
The left-back has been missing since the second league game of the season, during which he’d pick up a semi-serious injury. It’d lead to a loan move for Sergio Reguilon, purely due to the fact United had no fit left-backs available at the time the Englishman went down.
Now, Insider United, who recently deactivated their Twitter/X account due to the club being unhappy with their accurate team news leaks, has provided the latest.
According to his sources, the United player is expected back within the ‘next couple of weeks’, with Shaw’s rehab said to be going ‘really well’. I presume this means he’s set to return to the training field at that time, rather than being ready to play in a game.

It’s probably safe to assume that Shaw will not be back out on the Old Trafford turf for the better part of a month, even with this timeframe. He has been out for a fair while and Ten Hag will not throw him in too quickly.
In the long run, I firmly believe United will benefit from Shaw’s return. Not only is he an excellent defender, he also brings out the best in Marcus Rashford on the offensive side of things.
The sooner he’s back, the better.
