Lisandro Martinez is said to be back doing some individual training at Man United after his injury.
Manchester United and injuries has become the main story this season. Erik ten Hag has been dealing without major players for multiple months. Understandably, that makes things much more tricky for the gaffer.
Earlier today, we covered a claim which stated Luke Shaw was back out on the grass and in full training ahead of the Everton game. The left-back will no doubt go some way to helping United’s defence become sterner.
What’s that saying? ‘Good things come in pairs?’ Well, the rumour is that another key figure was back out on the pitch; Lisandro Martinez.
X/Twitter United source @mufcMPB have covered a claim from Sky, suggesting that Lisandro Martinez is also back out on the grass. This would be another welcome boost, particularly as Martinez was initially ruled out until 2024.
We’ve tried to find an article on Sky about this news but we’re struggling, so we can only assume it was said live on air. @mufcMPB have a good track record with this sort of stuff, though.

Obviously, this is only individual training. I can imagine it was an extremely light session for Licha, who’ll be slowly looking to build back up to full capacity. Whether or not this means we will see him back out on the pitch before January is another matter entirely.
The thing with his metatarsal injury is that it cannot be rushed. We saw what happened last time when he was brought back too quickly. United have to approach this situation cautiously.
I’d much prefer to see Licha given all the time he needs, in order for him to fully overcome the problem and finish the 2023/24 season strong. If he suffers any further setbacks, I’d fear it’d start having a detrimental impact on his career on the whole. After all, there’s only so long you can be out of the game before your ability starts to dwindle.
