Lisandro Martinez was back at the AON Training Complex today, watching his Man United teammates train.
Manchester United fans welcomed back Luke Shaw to the fold this week, offering the Red Devils a massive lift ahead of their game against Everton.
Yesterday, there were also whispers which suggested Lisandro Martinez was back out on the field. That has since been confirmed by the club itself.
United told us all that Licha was indeed back at the training ground, though not in a playing capacity. He watched his teammates train, looking all-smiles, as he continues with the ‘early stages’ of his recovery from that metatarsal problem.
Sadly, this probably means Licha will not return in 2023, though that was always the early indication. It is super good to see him back out there and supporting the lads, though.

I don’t quite think we realise his importance in that dressing room. Martinez is a proper leader, a man who can get everyone else going. His absence has been hardfelt in not only a football sense, but also his on-pitch presence.
Of course, the sooner he’s back out there, the better it’ll be for all involved. Though I do hope that patience is used here. I’d rather wait a couple of months longer, in order to ensure that Martinez is fully fit and he will not go down again with this same injury.
Welcome back, Licha!
