Man United are one of the teams chasing the signature of in-form Wolves winger, Pedro Neto.
Manchester United have struggled for goals this season. In fact, the front three has only scored once in the league between them (Rashford, Antony, Hojlund). Obviously, that’s nowhere near good enough, albeit the service has not been great either.
With the January transfer window just around the corner and talks of a Sir Jim Ratcliffe minority stake close, there could be money to spend in the not too distant future, assuming FFP is not an issue.
A winger who can provide goals and assists is a huge requirement. The latest name to be linked with the move is Pedro Neto.
It’s TEAMtalk with the story. They state that the Wolves man is attracting the attention of United, Arsenal and clubs in the Saudi Pro League.
United are apparently interested in signing the 23-year-old Premier League man, who has been in excellent form to start this season, playing for a Wolves side that are struggling on the whole.
It’s stated that United boss, Erik ten Hag, is a ‘huge fan’ of the man from Portugal – a country which the Reds have had great success with acquiring players from.
Neto is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury that was initially expected to keep him sidelined until 2024. However, he could return sooner, which could lead to a potential transfer in the January window.
Whether United have the funds to facilitate the move at that time remains to be seen, though I still get the impression that Wolves will want to keep ahold of Neto until at least next summer.
