Timo Werner has appeared on the radar for Man United, ahead of the January transfer window.
Manchester United Football Club have struggled for goals in this domestic season. Up until this weekend, Erik ten Hag’s side hadn’t gone 2-0 up in a game…
Rasmus Hojlund has started well, though he does need help. It’d be unfair to place such a burden on a player who is still so young.
With the January window fast approaching, it makes sense to see the club start to be linked with some new faces, albeit money is tight.
It’s Florian Plettenberg with the latest story. He links Man United with a move to bring in Timo Werner from RB Leipzig.
It’s stated that United have the 27-year-old striker ‘on the list’ ahead of the winter/January window. On top of that, United have ‘already inquired’ about the German’s availability. No firm offer has been made at this stage.
What makes this interesting is that Wenrer is ‘not satisfied’ with his current situation, though as things stand, he is likely to stay until the summer.

During his time at Chelsea, I was of the opinion that Werner did have a pretty tough time. Some of it his own fault, some not.
There’s a great player in there. He works hard. Can beat a man. Is quick and can finish. Sometimes, though, the pressure seems to get to him and he is the epitome of a confidence footballer.
Would he be a good signing as a rotational option? I think so, but only if the price is right, in terms of both wages and transfer fee. It would probably mean curtains for Anthony Martial, but we’ve been round and round several times with the Frenchman. It does make sense to move in a different direction.
