Man United are taking on Newcastle United tomorrow, with club cameras spotting Mason Mount back in training ahead of the clash.
Earlier today, Erik ten Hag confirmed that Mason Mount was back out on the pitch after the injury that he suffered a few weeks ago. Initially, a month-long timeframe was placed on his absence.
The Manchester United manager was pretty unsure in regard to when the England midfielder would be back available for selection, hinting that it’s unlikely Mount will be involved against Newcastle United tomorrow.
The last thing United would want to happen is to have Mount rushed back too soon, risking a re-aggravation of the affected area. His confidence is no doubt already low, the Reds wouldn’t want that level to decrease further.
It is good news to see the ex-Chelsea man back out there, though, particularly as United are looking rather thin on the ground in that area.

There’s a real opening there for Mount going into the winter period. He has done some good things since signing, without lacking that consistency in both his performances and minutes on the pitch.
With Christian Eriksen and Casemiro sidelined, Mount will be given his chances upon his return. He needs a good run of games in the side to prove his worth, then I really do believe we’ll start seeing some excellent form from him.
On paper, Mount is the perfect player for this system. It’s just about building up that confidence and allowing him to play in his preferred position. No sticking him out wide. No letting him play too deep. Just allow him to start at the heart of midfield as that’s why United spent big money to bring him in.
