Chelsea will be without one of their starting men, Conor Gallagher, for the game vs Man United on Wednesday.
The games have been coming thick and fast for Manchester United at this stage of the season, with a real mixed bag of results thrown up by this inconsistent side managed by Erik ten Hag.
Our gaffer has to take some of the blame as stylistically, it does look like the lads have no idea at times. However, the large portion of the fault lies with the players in my opinion. The squad just do not look interested in putting in the required effort right now…
As a result, United could do with all the help they can get. Ahead of the game against Chelsea this midweek, the Reds have been given an early boost as one of their stars is banned for the meeting following a red card.
Conor Gallagher, who has been a regular starter for the Stamford Bridge club, was sent off during the first half of their game against Brighton over the weekend. The Englishman will now serve a one-match suspension, meaning Mauricio Pochettino has one less option in midfield to call upon.
The middle of the park has been United’s biggest problem area over the last few months, particularly with so many injuries decimating that area of the field. Chelsea are now without one less player, so that does somewhat even the playing field a little bit.
United’s midfield three somewhat picks itself at the moment which is obviously less than ideal. Kobbie Mainoo, Scott McTominay and Bruno Fernandes are about as good as it gets, with Sofyan Amrabat the only other fit, senior player in that area of the pitch…
