Bayern Munich could be facing a battle to retain and re-sign some of its top stars — but winger Leroy Sané is looking one of the more likely to stay.
The German winger has previously expressed his appreciation for the club, and the bosses have made it clear that the sentiment is mutual. A report from kicker outlines the situation (captured via @iMiaSanMia):
Uli Hoeneß likes Leroy Sané both as a footballer and as a person. Outgoing coach Thomas Tuchel is a fan of Sané as well, both had a good relationship from the beginning. From Sané’s entourage, it is said that Tuchel knew exactly how to involve and handle him. Talks over Sané’s future are set to take place soon. The player likes the city, the club, the stadium, feels very comfortable with his family and would like to stay in Munich. Another experience abroad is not completely ruled out, but is not a priority for Sané. The new coach will play an important role: how he plans with Sané and what would that mean for the player’s career. Sané is determined to win the Champions League and he prefers to do that with Bayern

From this perspective it is almost a shame that Tuchel is departing. Almost.
With Sané, the stars are aligning too well. Despite many doubters in his early years at the club, Sané has progressed more and more every season in Bavaria and has become key for both club and country.
