Bayern Munich executive Max Eberl has been busy, to say the least.
In addition to acclimating to a new job, Eberl has had a quick ramp-up on everything that needs to be done at Bayern Munich, including hire a new coach, determine who stays and who goes on the current roster, identify any players that the club wants to bring in, and, oh yeah, help get the squad prepared to face Real Madrid in the Champions League.
On that last point, Eberl wanted to make it known that this tie could go either way.
“The difference in the Arsenal game was that we were perhaps more experienced [in the Champions League]. With Real Madrid, that advantage will disappear because they are at least as experienced. We definitely have a chance. It’s a 50-50,” Eberl told Abendzeitung’s Maximilian Koch (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
The world will truly be watching this tie and, as Eberl noted, it easily could go to either club.
