Craig Dawson should be in line to pick up a Europa Conference League winner’s medal despite his West Ham exit in January.
31 different players have represented West Ham in the Europa Conference League so far this season, and two of them are no longer at the London Stadium.

Craig Dawson and Harrison Ashby left the Hammers in January to join Wolves and Newcastle United respectively.
The latter only made two appearances – one in the competition proper and one in the qualifying round, whilst the former has four Conference League games for West Ham under his belt.
Dawson, 33, is looked at far more fondly in East London than Ashby is. He was a hugely popular player at the club and left with the fans’ blessing because he needed to be closer to his family.
It seems as though the Wolves defender could be set for a big reward come the end of the season, despite not having played for West Ham for five months…
Europa Conference League news beckons for Craig Dawson and West Ham fans will absolutely love it
UEFA stipulate that the winning team out of West Ham and Fiorentina will be presented with 40 gold medals out in Prague on June 7th.
So Dawson will surely be handed one by the Hammers. There is absolutely no reason why he won’t be, given just how much he gave the club during his time at the London Stadium.
At the same time, I’m not sure that Ashby should be given a medal.
The rest of the available medals would presumably go to the coaching staff and maybe unused substitutes such as Lukasz Fabianski.
Dawson is more than deserving of a gold medal. The four games that he played – all in the group stage, were won by the Hammers.
The 33-year-old left East London with a real cult hero status secured. And should West Ham win the Europa Conference League this season, he will be intrinsically linked with the Hammers forever.
I’m sure that every single West Ham fan will be absolutely buzzing for Dawson, if we do indeed go on to win the trophy and the centre-back is handed a gold medal.
