Former Bayern Munich and Germany great Lothar Matthäus has watched a lot of both the Bavarians and Real Madrid ahead of the first leg of the Champions League tie.
Speaking to Sky Sport journalist Kerry Hau, Matthäus admitted that he sees Bayern Munich as the favorite against Real Madrid:
Lothar Matthäus sees FC Bayern as “slightly favored” against Real Madrid. His reasoning: Real were “lucky” to advance against Manchester City – the “best team in the world” for him.
Also: “I’ve heard that the mood in the Bayern dressing room is better than it’s been for a long time. Tuchel and the players love each other. It wasn’t always like this.”
So why shouldn’t Tuchel continue? “The issue is over — for both sides.”
So…how do you see it playing out?
