Scott McTominay has seemingly avoided serious injury, taking to social media to offer fans an injury update.
Manchester United’s season has been decimated by injury. Erik ten Hag has pretty much never had a full squad to choose from at any point this term. Just when one player comes back, it feels like the Red Devils lose another couple…
It really has been brutal and it doesn’t look like stopping at all this term. The issues continued over the weekend, with Scott McTominay the latest to go down.
At the time, it looked pretty serious. McTominay punched the ground in anger, leading to genuine fears it was a pretty awful one.
However, the United star has taken to his Instagram page to ease those fears, confirming that the issue is ‘nothing serious’, adding that he hopes to be back ‘very soon’. This is great news all around.

Somewhat unexpectedly, McTominay has turned into a genuinely great source of goals for United this season. He has those predatorial instincts, which probably stems from his time as a striker in his younger days.
Scoring double digits for a club the size of United, from midfield, is never easy – particularly when you consider McTominay isn’t a guaranteed starter by any means.
At the end of the day, he’s a great option to have off the subs bench and you just never know, if United can keep it tight during the FA Cup final, I wouldn’t bet against him coming on and hitting a late winner.
We’re glad it’s nothing serious, Scott! we’ll hopefully see you out on the field soon.
