- Tottenham beat Newcastle 4-1 in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon
- Guglielmo Vicario and Callum Wilson were involved in a confrontation
- Mauricio Pochettino has so much work to do with Chelsea – It’s All Kicking Off
Newcastle striker Callum Wilson was left raging with Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario after his side’s crushing 4-1 defeat on Sunday afternoon.
Richarlison fired Tottenham to a first win since October 27 with a brace as they rediscovered their early season form.
Destiny Udogie and Son Heung-min were also on the scoresheet as Eddie Howe‘s men suffered a humbling defeat.
It was a tough day for Newcastle’s forwards and Vicario did his best to antagonise Wilson as he pulled a face at him after saving his header in the closing stages of the game.
It led to a confrontation between the two players and Wilson did not mince his words in his post-match interview.

Yeah I mean there’s a way to win isn’t there,’ he said. ‘I think we’ve seen it in the week when Everton were winning and Pickford was messing around.
‘The goalkeeper goes up for a header he starts pulling faces and messing around and It’s just a lack of respect I thought, I said my piece and we’re grown men and we move on.’
Former Spurs defender Michael Dawson offered his thoughts on the incident on Sky Sports, saying: ‘If I’m 4-1 down I’d be pretty annoyed as well, It’s been a hard afternoon for Newcastle.
‘There’s no need to get involved, you’re home and dry and there’s no need to rub salt into the wounds. Callum Spoke there and It’s done and dusted now.

Harry Redknapp added: Think about the last few days, the 3-0 at Everton and seven goals in their last two away games. I feel for them [Newcastle], they’ve got so many injuries, they’re decimated with injuries.
‘And when you’re trying your best to get a performance out of your team. Every now and again you can get a performance at home because you’ve got the crowd with you and it carries you and it carries you through. But away from home that’s why I was just so confident because they’ve got such a big game and they just really didn’t get to that level.
