Chelsea’s latest injury update is as bleak as ever.
We all knew Reece James would be added to the list – it’s clear that he’s got a major hamstring injury against Everton and will be out for some months.
Robert Sanchez also went off hurt in that game, but we had some hope he could shake it off this week. Sadly that doesn’t look the case, and the injury report says that he has a knee problem. In his press conference, Pochettino said it would be weeks out for the Spaniard.
On top of all that, it seems Marc Cucurella also picked up something quite major in the same game. The report holds that Cucurella will “meet foot and ankle specialists with next steps to be decided in the coming days.”
That sounds scarily like surgery might be involved, or at the very least like this is a quite serious issue. With James and Malo Gusto and Ben Chilwell out injured right now, we’re incredibly thin at full back right now.
