good morning!
I know we’re already into the early days of January, but now’s still a good time to look at what the month brings.
Tottenham Hotspur men’s squad:
It’s a weird one for Spurs. Three competitive matches total, and two of those are Premier League fixtures.
Considering the absences being built up, this could be a good thing for Tottenham.
I, for one, will not be complaining until January 15-30 when there is no Spurs football to watch. What’ll I do then? What about my DC Spurs resolution?
That’s for another day (probably the 15-30 of January).
Tottenham play their first FA Cup fixture against Burnley on Friday before two PL matches against Man United and Brentford.
Even though United are a clown show, I still don’t feel comfortable playing against them. Brentford, meanwhile, have been struggling lately. Let’s aim for at least 4 points.
But it’s also the transfer window! We have to believe there’ll be some activity going on, most likely with the addition of a new centreback. Who else will come in? And is anyone leaving?
Tottenham Hotspur men’s schedule: Burnley (5 Jan, FA Cup), at Man United (14 Jan, PL), Brentford (31 Jan, PL)
Tottenham Hotspur women’s squad:
The last time we checked in, Tottenham nabbed a historic 1-0 result against Arsenal in what felt like a real “crossing of the rubicon”.
Now’s as good as time as any to build on that with three very winnable matches – Sheffield United, West Ham and Southampton.
What follows that, though, is a clash against Manchester City. As of today, Spurs are just one point back. Can they make another statement?
Tottenham Hotspur women’s schedule: Sheffield United (14 Jan, FA Cup), at West Ham (21 Jam, WSL), at Soton (25 Jan, WSL Super Cup), Manchester City (28 Jan, WSL)
