USMNT captain Tyler Adams is expected to return to action for Bournemouth between the end of February and early March, says owner Bill Foley.
Adams underwent two hamstring surgeries in 2023, with the latter coming just weeks after he made his Bournemouth debut in October following a summer transfer from relegated Leeds United.
‘As soon as he’s fit, he’s going to play that number six role,’ Foley said of the American midfielder during an appearance on CBS Sports.
‘I’m looking forward to him coming back. He is now running. He’s not really exercising hard but he’s back running.
‘And we think by end of February-early March he’s going to be on the pitch – and I look forward to it.’

Adams has played in exactly one match for Bournemouth because of injury since joining team
Adams has only played in one game for Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup against Stoke City as a substitute.
Being out of action for nearly a year has caused a bit of a domino effect for his clubs and country.
If Adams had been healthy, Leeds would have stood a better chance of surviving the drop to the English Championship and staying in the Premier League.
Adams was the youngest captain in USMNT World Cup history in 2022, but has been absent from the team since its Round of 16 tournament exit to The Netherlands.
His preferred defensive midfield position is one of the weakest for the United States, making him one of the integral players for the Stars and Stripes when healthy.
Bournemouth are currently in 12th place in the Premier League, 10 points out of the relegation zone.
For the USMNT, Adams staying healthy would skyrocket the Stars and Stripes’ chances of winning this summer’s Copa America.
