It might be odd to see those words coming from a current Chelsea player seeing how this season so far has really not been the best.
Despite reaching a domestic cup final, Chelsea’s league form has been far from good enough and they are sat in 10th place in the league.
EXCLUSIVE! All the transfer deals, plans, and potential ins and outs that Chelsea actively worked on this January and why none of them happened!
Things need to improve, but there has also been some good moments. And there has been some good moments for some of the players individually as well.
One of Chelsea’s best performers so far this season has been Cole Palmer, who arrived from Manchester City in the summer transfer window. He has admitted that for him personally, it has been the best months of his life so far at Chelsea, and that is because he is playing regular football and he is playing well.
Now he just hopes that the team will improve and they can start having some more good moments together.
His words have come from today’s match day programme vs Wolves, as cited on the Chelsea website this morning.
Palmer said:
“They’ve been some amazing months, to be fair, probably the best months of my career. I’ve been playing a lot of football and playing well… it’s been about the opportunity, with the platform we’re trying to build, the project, and the love from the fans.
“I arrived on the last day of the transfer window, I didn’t do pre-season with any of the lads, but as time has gone on, I’ve started to build more and more relationships.
“There are a load of young players here and, on a personal note, it’s been amazing. Now we just need to get the team results as we have been in the past month or two, so hopefully that can continue.”
