Three extra-time goals helped Leeds to finally overcome Plymouth Argyle at a soggy Home Park to progress to the fifth round of the FA Cup on Tuesday evening.
With both sides locked in a cagey state of play, Wilfried Gnonto pounced on a moment of waywardness from the home fans, picking up a pin-pointed pass from the top of the box to fire past Hazard in the 67th minute.
But with just over ten minutes left to play, Argyle bit back as the rain and winds grew stronger, with Brendan Galloway picking up a whippy freekick at pace to knock the ball into the back of Ilan Meslier’s net.
The deadlock forced extra time, but it took just six minutes of it for substitute Crysencio Summerville to strike, sneaking past Ashley Phillips to find the top right corner.
Both teams thoroughly exhausted, Georgino drew upon his reserves in the second-half, his effort ably assisted by Summerville, to compound Plymouth’s misery in the 111th minute, before Ryan Hardie turned the final goal into the back of his own net.
