Mauricio Pochettino was asked in the press conference yesterday whether the job at Chelsea was harder than he had anticipated. He denied it, saying that he had always known it was going to be difficult.
He added that he was still trying to get that belief into the players:
“I told the players in the meeting today, I trust you more than ever,” the manager explained.
“We are living in a situation that is not nice,” he added.
You’re telling us Mauricio. We really hope this positive mental thinking and behind the scenes trust talk works. He’s under immense pressure right now, and so are the players, and that doesn’t help anyone perform to their best. He is known for his big smile and enthusiasm – let’s hope it helps the team dig their way out of this hole.
