Mauricio Pochettino was put on the spot by the BeinSports interviewer after tonight’s game when he was asked why his team’s first half performance was so poor.
Pochettino put it down to a “lack of intensity, lack of quality…” moving the ball so slow” in the agonising first half where the Blues didn’t muster a single shot – but made 420 passes.
To be fair, it’s staring everyone in the face. He could hardly miss it.
But if he can see these things happening, why is he so unable to fix them? Are the players just not able or not motivated to play quickly? It’s all rather puzzling and frustrating.
