Djordje Petrovic is at a major crossroads in his Chelsea career – he got into the team when Robert Sanchez picked up an injury, and has performed well.
But Sanchez is now back fit, and Petrovic knows that the pressure is on, He did well in a good defensive showing yesterday, and spoke to the Chelsea TV cameras after the game.
He was disappointed in his strikers for not “killing” the game by getting a second goal. So are we all! But he praised the organisation of the defence in front of him, which was very good, and certainly the best we’ve seen this season.
Sanchez really has his work cut out. The €14m we paid for Djordje is starting to look cheap!
