Julien Laurens was on his podcast assessing Chelsea’s draw with Man City, and he had some really interesting takes on how things had gone for the Blues.
He reckoned that this was the best performance of the season from Mauricio Pochettino’s team, despite it being a draw. But for an interesting reason: “because it lasted longer than usual. Usually they have [just] 10, 20 maybe 30 good minutes.”
They did fade in the second half, but there’s no doubt that their good spells are now more than the brief early flurries we saw at the start of the season.
