Man City dropped a Tweet last night showing Phil Foden in a cryotherapy chamber, accompanied by the “freezing emojis” we’ve come to associate with former City player Cole “Cold” Palmer and his goal celebrations for Chelsea.
This is obviously a dig at Palmer, who was on the losing side in the Carabao Cup final yesterday. The implication is that City have Foden, while they were happy to sell off his fellow academy product to us.
Palmer was one of the few Chelsea players who didn’t shrink in the spotlight, and certainly doesn’t deserve to be criticised.
