Chelsea’s top target for this summer is the same as last summer, the summer before that and the summer before that – a top striker who can score consistently.
The Blues have been without one for a long time, and their attempts to find one at the top of the market (Romelu Lukaku) and lower down (Nicolas Jackson) have not succeeded to the degree they’d like.
Top transfer insider Fabrizio Romano insists that our target remains the same as ever.
“Chelsea’s priority for the summer remains a central striker, but let’s see who else they look at,” Romano said.
But who will it be? Victor Osimhen? Viktor Gyokeres? Victor Moses? Victor Meldrew? Can we afford any of them? Will any of them want to come here? A lot will depend on how we end the season, and the way things are headed right now aren’t too positive.
The other factor will be how much we have to spend – if we don’t shift some of our unwanted players soon, we won’t have the funds for any of these top tier options.
