Enzo Fernandez “vanished” in Chelsea’s cup final defeat, Blues fan Rory Jennings has claimed.
He was speaking about his performance on the pitch, but was also referring to the team’s overall display as they capitulated against an exceptionally young and inexperienced Liverpool side in extra time.
He said it was illustrative of a wider cowardice in the team, also shown when Ben Chilwell was ganged up on by several Liverpool players. He wants central midfielders that are dominant both in controlling the game and also able to impose themselves on the opposition psychologically.
