Chelsea fans who are keen to sell Raheem Sterling are set to be disappointed it seems.
A rash of rumours sparked in the last few days claimed that Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal were interested in signing the winger in the summer, but Fabrizio Romano has crushed them immediately by saying there have been “no contacts” with the Saudi club.
🔵🏴 No changes on Raheem Sterling despite fresh stories; no contacts with Al Hilal, no even talks so far.
Full focus on Chelsea. https://t.co/x3oUwgPrcQ

Sterling is the best paid player at Chelsea on a reported £300,000 a week (SpotRac). This is a vast burden on the club’s finances given his output on the pitch, so it’s no surprise there are a lot of supporters who are keen to be rid of him.
Mauricio Pochettino is a fan, knowing that Sterling brings much needed experience to his team, as well as speed and an eye for goal. But Sterling’s play often frustrate fans, and his lack of defensive work rate is a regular source of anger on the terraces and in living rooms around the world.
