West Ham star Mohammed Kudus looks like he wants the ground to open and swallow him up in extraordinary new footage.
Things continue to go from bad to worse for Hammers ace Mohammed Kudus.
After a brilliant debut season, West Ham’s star boy has endured a torrid campaign for club and country.
Kudus probably felt he’d hit rock bottom given what’s gone on with West Ham’s £85m man of late.
It all started back at the start of the year.
Undoubtedly West Ham’s most talented player, Kudus enjoyed a brilliant debut season with the Hammers, scoring 14 goals and laying on six assists.
It was interrupted by Ghana’s horrendous African Nations effort, though.
The Hammers ace had actually fought back early from injury to almost single-handedly put Ghana on course to make it out of the group stages.
But when he came off as a late substitute Kudus could only watch in despair and disbelief as his teammates threw it all away and crashed out.
That cost ex Hammer Chris Hughton his job and resulted in a backlash against the team in Ghana.
Things go from bad to worse for West Ham star Kudus
Since then Kudus has grown increasingly frustrated at West Ham.
Being played out of position on the left by Julen Lopetegui and with Ghana winning just one match all year, Kudus was like a ticking timebomb.
That timebomb exploded first at Lopetegui when he singled Kudus out for criticism at Brentford.
The attacker was hauled off at half-time for the confrontation.
Then at Spurs it went off again as Kudus was sent off and ultimately banned for five games, two of which he still has to serve.
Things have been so bad Ghana fans even suggested Kudus is cursed since being handed the number 10 shirt and captaining the team.
Now extraordinary footage shows West Ham star Kudus and his teammates get an embarrassing dressing down.
Ghana drew 1-1 draw with Angola and lost 2-1 at home to Niger during the November international break.
To rub salt in a gaping wound, Kudus stepped up to take a last minute penalty for the Black Stars which would have salvaged a draw with the last kick of the game.
But he saw his effort saved. As he waited to take the penalty, furious Ghana fans chanted ‘away’ – meaning miss – to show their disdain with the performances and results.
The stadium then erupted as the home fans celebrated Kudus’ penalty miss in what was described as the biggest show of disapproval ever seen for the national team.
Before heading back to West Ham, Kudus and his teammates had to attend a meeting with the president of Ghana’s Football Association.
Awkward footage has emerged showing West Ham’s main man not knowing where to look as he and his teammates are lambasted by the president of Ghana’s FA.
The president barks at Kudus and the rest of the team, telling them half the Niger side wouldn’t get in Ghana’s team.
“Four or five players who played in Niger’s team cannot play in my team,” he said.
The excruciating footage has been posted on social media and Kudus looks lost.
Let’s get him back to West Ham, get him ready for his big return and enjoy him while we can.
Because those rumours of a move away with his release clause looming large aren’t going away.
