Chelsea have announced the first two fixtures of their 2024 pre season tour of America.
It was revealed last week that the Blues will be heading back to the states for the third consecutive year and will be playing Wrexham and Club America.
It will be the second year in a row that the London club have played Wrexham and it will be the fourth time the Blues have faced off against Club America in pre season.
The fixture against Wrexham will take place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California on July 24th 2024 and the game against Club America will be played in the Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia on July 31st 2024.
Following the announcement Chelsea chief executive Chris Jurasek told the club’s official website: “It is great to be playing Wrexham once again, following the success of last year’s encounter in Chapel Hill.”
“We look forward to playing in front of our loyal supporters based in California at the Levi’s Stadium, which is sure to create a wonderful atmosphere.”
“We are also really excited to be returning to Atlanta this summer as part of our pre season tour. Mercedes-Benz Stadium is a truly remarkable venue, and we cannot wait to play there again in front of our US fanbase when we come up against Club America.”
Chelsea won the inaugural Premier League Summer Series during last year’s pre season tour of America.
