Stuart Dallas returned to Leeds United training on Thursday after almost 18 months out with a serious knee injury.
The 32-year-old defender remains a number of weeks away from being in contention to feature in first-team fixtures, but the return to training is a major and positive step in his rehabilitation programme.
Dallas has been absent since breaking his femur bone during Leeds’ Premier League fixture against Manchester City in April 2022.
He recently took to Twitter to deny rumours that he would be retiring following his lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Dallas had been ever present for Leeds prior to sustaining the injury, starting every league match during the 2021-22 campaign.
The Northern Ireland international moved to Elland Road from Brentford in 2015 and has made 267 appearances for the club in all competitions.
