West Ham United right-back Vladimir Coufal is surely finished at the London Stadium now.
Vladimir Coufal has already been tipped to leave West Ham on a free transfer in the summer, and I think his exit will be guaranteed now.
The 32-year-old may even leave West Ham in the January transfer window.
Vladimir Coufal has regressed badly over the past 12-18 months, and he’s nowhere near good enough to play Premier League football any more, as far as I’m concerned.
He’s far too slow and is beaten easily time and time again by pacy wingers.
West Ham seemingly have a really exciting plan in place to upgrade massively on the former Slavia Prague man.
Vladimir Coufal could well be finished at West Ham
The 50-capped Czech Republic international has been a very solid player for us over the past four years, but we need to upgrade on him now, as harsh as that may well sound.
Now it seems like the Hammers are ready to move on from Coufal.
According to a report from The Sunday Mirror (print edition November 17th, page 79), the Hammers are interested in signing Kyle Walker-Peters from Southampton.
The former Tottenham man would be a superb signing for West Ham in my opinion, and he’d be a major upgrade on Coufal.
Walker-Peters, 27, has been described as ‘unreal’ by Southampton’s official X account.
The right-back is definitely good enough to be playing for a Premier League team that has aspirations of qualifying for Europe.
He has pace in abundance and offers so much going forward, as well as being very sound defensively.
The beauty of the Southampton defender is that he can play in the left-back position as well if need be.
If he is available for a decent fee, I really think the Hammers should be all over Kyle Walker-Peters in January.
And if West Ham have the chance to sell Vladimir Coufal this winter, it really should be an absolute no-brainer.
