Former Bayern Munich boss Julian Nagelsmann made a declaration to the German national team in the locker room after the squad downed Hungary 2-0.
According to Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Nagelsmann delivered this message to his boys in the locker room: “We now want to win the last group game, finish first in the group and thus face the second-placed team in Group C.”
It appears that Nagelsmann is not going to take any chances with having the team start to doubt itself. The group is motivated and playing well together, which should give the coach a legitimate reason to keep the team unified and focused.
While a loss to Switzerland probably would not change anything, Germany has a chance to build its momentum even more and further establish itself as a legitimate contender for the title.
