Bayern Munich and Josip Stanišić agreed to a new deal that will keep the Croatian in Bavaria through 2029.
For Stanišić, it was a good day.
“For me wearing the Bayern shirt means everything. I’ve been a Bayern fan since I can remember. My father instilled it in me. I can still remember the games where I was in the stadium. For me it’s the biggest club in the world” told FCBayern.com (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “I’ve learned a lot in the past year. It was also good for me to be away from home, from Munich. I’ve also learned a lot in football — it helps to play a lot of games especially as a defender. I’ve gained a lot of self-confidence due to the many good games and due to the results. So, I think I’m back as a better player than I was before.”
As for what Stanišić wants to achieve in the next five years, well, he wants to win…a lot.
“We have 5 league titles to win with Bayern. And as many titles as possible. I think every Bayern player wants to win as many titles as possible. The same goes for me,” said Stanišić.
