It has been a long time since Germany made any noise in an international tournament, but this time, the vibes are different. Germany is now in the quarterfinals, the furthest it has gone in a tournament since 2016, when it bowed out at the semifinal stage to France. This time the Germans are knocking on the semifinals door again, and France again await as a possible opponent — but first, they will have to get through Spain.
