According to a report from Sport Bild journalists Christian Falk and Tobi Altschäffl (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich is unwilling to pay the salary of Joshua Kimmich any longer.
The Germany international wants to play out his contract, but the Bavarians might be sending him signals that things are not going to work out for much longer:
As of now, Joshua Kimmich wants to fulfill his contract at Bayern until 2025.
Kimmich currently earns €15m fixed plus €5m bonuses per year. For every season he makes 42 appearances, he’s due a portion of the bonuses (last season he made 42 appearances). Bayern are unwilling to pay him that kind of salary anymore.
According to a report from The Athletic (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), one club that might not be blinking at Kimmich’s salary is Manchester City. Led by Kimmich’s former boss Pep Guardiola, City seems to think it can find a role for the 29-year-old:
Manchester City are looking for a deputy or partner for Rodri. They want to sign Bruno Guimarães but not near the £100million fee that was in his previous buyout clause. Joshua Kimmich continues to be of interest for City.
Could fans see Kimmich wearing City’s baby blues this season?
