While Bayern Munich has not been officially rejected by Paris Saint-Germain attacker Xavi Simons, the club is probably fighting a losing battle, as the Dutchman continues to favor a move back to RB Leipzig per Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg:
FC Bayern have not yet received an official rejection from #Xavi. They haven’t given up hope.
But the clear tendency is that Xavi will stay another year in Leipzig. No agreement between Bayern and PSG in sight. And it’s Xavi‘s tendency to continue with RB. The announcement is planned after his vacation.
That’s why Bayern is trying to sign Désiré #Doué now. With a second offer submitted.

Bayern Munich’s go-forward plan remains open for interpretation, but the club does appear eager to bolster its plentiful attacking group even more.
