The Premier League have released the squad lists for all 20 clubs for the first half of the 2024/25 campaign, including 70 Arsenal players.
From Arsenal’s maximum 25 senior squad slots, the Gunners have named 22 players, including seven homegrown players.
Summer signings Riccardo Calafiori, Mikel Merino, Norberto Neto, and Raheem Sterling have all been included in Arsenal’s squad list for the first time, Kieran Tierney returns to the squad after his loan spell, and David Raya now joins it as a permanent signing.
The maximum number of non-homegrown players allowed in a squad is 17, and Arsenal only have 15, so they have room to spare with regards to those limits.
Arsenal’s seven homegrown players this season are David Raya, Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, William Saliba, Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Martinelli, and Ben White.
Martinelli and Saliba both obtained homegrown status after joining Arsenal as 18-year-olds. More importantly, they both count as “club trained” for UEFA’s slightly stricter homegrown rules.
Of the minimum eight homegrown spots in UEFA’s 25-player squads, only a maximum of four of them can have attained their homegrown status with another club.
In Arsenal’s case, that’s Raya, Rice, Sterling, and White. Any further homegrown signings from another club in January would have to be included as non-homegrown players for UEFA’s purposes. But again, Arsenal have space to do that.
As usual, Arsenal have named all of their professional youth players and youth players on scholarship contracts in their Premier League squad. Most of the 48 players on the list won’t feature in a matchday squad this season, but all of them are eligible to do so.
With all that in mind, here is Arsenal’s full squad list for the current campaign.
